A little about me…

I’m a dessert-loving mom of 3 who enjoys fueling my body with nutritious foods…but I will never turn down chocolate! Over the years I’ve dabbled in some extreme approaches to healthier eating and have found they just aren’t my thing. If it’s not something I can sustain forever, then that’s a red flag in my book. I’ve learned that my “happy place” with nutrition is when I’m making mostly healthier choices and moving my body regularly, but without sacrificing the foods that I love! I’ve worked in the online fitness and nutrition industry for the last 8 years and I’m also a NASM certified nutrition coach. It’s important to me to help my clients find their happy place with nutrition–something that helps them to feel good AND stay consistent. I hope that by sharing my approach to 80/20, I can help YOU to discover what your “happiest eating plan” looks like.

Got questions? I have answers!

Q: I’m brand new to healthy eating. Is this course for me?

A: This course is NOT a deep dive into specific healthy eating habits (like food groups, portions etc). While I will provide general examples of healthier foods, the content is intended to provide strategies and tips to help the student create an 80/20 approach to nutrition. If you still have a lot to learn about healthier eating in general, please check out my free mini course or reach out to me for a one-on-one nutrition coaching consultation.

Q: I just started a weight loss journey. Is this course for me?

A: This course is intended for people who have a foundational understanding of healthy eating habits, but want to refine/improve their current approach. This course is not a nutrition program nor does it guarantee results to anyone, but it will equip students with strategies, tools, and resources to help them practice balance and consistency with their nutrition. Weight loss is dependent on eating in a sustained, reasonable calorie deficit, so it will be up to each student to determine how to apply an 80/20 approach to eating that helps them to see steady, healthy weight loss.

Q: Is this course a detailed meal plan?

A: No. In the course I will share insight into what my personal eating plan looks like (how I structure meals etc) and provide some general planning templates for students to utilize at their own discretion, however my personal approach is NOT applicable to everyone. Each person’s caloric needs depend on many factors including age, gender, height, activity level, goals and beyond, and being such a personalized topic, is beyond the scope of this course. That’s why it’s beneficial for the student to have a basic understanding of general healthy eating habits and what their body needs.

Q: I have a special medical condition that impacts my diet. Is this course for me?

A: Students should always consult their doctor before making any changes to their nutrition plan. It is only within my scope of practice to provide nutrition coaching to generally healthy individuals. Those with special dietary needs should seek the advice of their doctor or registered dietician.
